Emface® in Houston, TX

Emface uses two technologies at the same time: synchronized radiofrequency (RF) and HIFES™ (high-intensity facial electromagnetic stimulation). The RF gently warms the deeper layers of your skin to stimulate collagen and elastin production, while HIFES sends pulses that contract specific facial muscles, including the frontalis on your forehead and the zygomaticus muscles in your cheeks. During the session, most patients describe the sensation as a warming feeling combined with gentle muscle twitches, similar to a relaxing facial massage. You stay lying down, the applicators stick to your skin with a self-adhesive gel pad, and there are no needles involved at any point.

The standard Emface protocol is four 20-minute sessions, spaced about one week apart, for a total treatment course of roughly four to six weeks from start to finish. Some people start to notice subtle changes in skin tightness within the first two sessions, but the full effect develops gradually as new collagen builds and muscle tone improves. Clinical studies report that patients see their best results around six to twelve weeks after the final session, with average outcomes including reduced wrinkle depth, improved facial tone, and a modest lifting effect in the cheeks and forehead. Emface has no recovery time. As for combining it with other treatments, a BTL clinical study presented at the 2024 American Society for Dermatologic Surgery meeting found that Emface did not break down or interfere with previously placed hyaluronic acid fillers in the mid-face.
